Back of the Line – Czech Pilsner – 4.2% ABV
The story of this beer began brewing in the dog days of August, when the sun was shining and the Rockies were…well, still the Rockies. Originally planned to be released in September, this beer kept getting shuffled to the back of the schedule. That’s bad for pilsner fans, but good for pilsner beers, meaning this batch has lagered for over fourteen weeks. Brewed with Bohemian floor malt, the extra time in the tank comes through as a clean, crisp biscuit flavor with a light hoppiness to balance the smooth grain.
