S’Alt – Salted Altbier – 5.0% ABV
Brewed with our friends at Bent Barley Brewing Co for Collabfest 2024. When two 2023 GABF award winning breweries get together, something weird is going to happen. We put our medals together and ended up going in an opposite direction than we are both used to. We made a classic altbier and then added three pounds of Rocky Mountain red salt. Adding salt changes the water chemistry and has many different effects on flavor, smoothness, and perceived bitterness.
